THE UGLY TRUTH

WHAT THEY FORGET TO TELL YOU ABOUT VAPING
Know the risks behind that little juul in your pocket

ARE E-CIGARETTES HARMLESS?
No! Vaping increases your chance for developing EVALI, a serious lung injury.
When you vape, you inhale many harmful chemicals such as tin and lead, which are heavy metals. You also inhale many harmful toxins such as dactyl, which is used for flavoring and linked to lung disease.
Vaping also puts you at risk for developing EVALI, which stands for electronic-cigarette or vaping associated lung injury.
EVALI can cause pneumonia and kill otherwise healthy teenagers and young adults without many warning signs.
As of February 18, 2020, a total of 2,807 people have been hospitalized and 68 people have died from EVALI.
Vitamin E acetate is a thickening agent often used in THC vaping products that has been found in the lung samples of patients with EVALI.
It is very important to not use THC vaping products as your risk for developing EVALI increases significantly.
CAN I GET ADDICTED TO VAPING?
Yes! E-cigarettes contain the chemical nicotine, which causes our bodies to get addicted.
Let's face it, nobody plans to get addicted to vaping, but it's understandable why it happens.
